Batu Caves

The shiny giant golden statue and a flight of colourful stairs can be seen from far away is Malaysia’s famous limestone cave temple, Batu Caves in Gombak. The locals and tourists love to climb the 272 steps to the top into the cave which has a big rock temple, a Hindu temple. The staircase was repainted in 2018, with a bright array of colours and these steps are pretty steep so beware and stick close to railings. Your entire journey up the stairs will be escorted by monkeys waiting and eyeing for food even your mobile phone can be snatched in a matter of seconds. Take a breather once you reach the top and hopefully on that day, it isn’t too crowded for you to enjoy the scenery and the beautiful cave.
